Summer’s here!
Celebrate the start of the holidays with a summer North East Deaf Youth Theatre special.
North East Deaf Theatre aims to support deaf children and young people to develop their creative skills, build confidence and form new friendships.
Together with deaf arts organisation Turtléar, we will explore theatre-making including, creative writing, storytelling, acting, lighting and backstage skills to create our very own productions to share with friends and family.
Workshops are delivered by Creative Associate EJ Raymond. EJ is profoundly deaf and a BSL user and graduated from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow in 2018 (BA Performance). EJ is an actor, writer, and founder of Turtléar.
Venue: Sessions take place at Jesmond Park Academy
Times: 9.30-12.30pm Mon-Fri for ages 5-11 and 1-4pm on Wed only for ages 11-16
